If the One Piece were simply gold, there would be no meaningful reason for Roger to be too early. Zunesha’s reaction to Luffy’s awakening is particularly significant because the ancient elephant associates the return of the Drums of Liberation with Joy Boy. Yet information alone may not fully explain the One Piece. Knowledge would explain Robin’s dream and Roger’s discoveries, but the story repeatedly describes the treasure as something left behind. A historical record may therefore be one component of a much larger inheritance.
A treasure capable of changing the world
Another major theory proposes that the One Piece is connected to physically reshaping the world. The geography of One Piece is highly unusual. The Red Line divides the planet while the Grand Line crosses it, separating the oceans into distinct regions.
